From the beginning, they made my transition from Christchurch to Gisborne seamless, providing me with the support and welcome I needed to settle into a new region. I’ve been exposed to a variety of work within the business, and they’ve catered to my interests, helping me grow and learn a huge amount since I started. The business fosters a great team culture where everyone is willing to go the extra mile, making it a truly rewarding place to work.

Interning at Aratu Forests Limited has been an incredible opportunity. The supportive team provided valuable hands-on experience in the forestry industry, allowing me to apply my studies to real-world projects. This experience has not only enhanced my skills but also introduced me to new career paths and areas of interest that I hadn’t previously considered. Receiving the George Mackey Papanui scholarship has been a huge help in supporting my education. It has eased financial stress and allowed me to gain practical work experience during the summer. I’m incredibly grateful for both the scholarship and internship, which have contributed to my growth academically and professionally.
